Stolen Crypto Tracing
When cryptocurrency is stolen — through hacking, phishing, or unauthorized transfer — we trace the movement of those funds across wallets, mixers, and exchanges to identify where the assets currently sit and who controls them.
What is stolen crypto tracing?
Stolen crypto tracing is the forensic process of following stolen cryptocurrency as it moves through the blockchain ecosystem. Funds are typically split, mixed, chain-hopped, and routed through multiple wallets to obscure the trail. Tracing requires specialized blockchain analysis tools combined with intelligence methods to reach the real-world beneficiary.
How we help
- 01Transaction graph analysis across BTC, ETH, and stablecoins
- 02Mixer and tumbler de-anonymization where feasible
- 03Cross-chain tracing through bridge and swap protocols
- 04Exchange wallet identification and subpoena preparation
- 05Real-world beneficiary identification via HUMINT
What can realistically be done
Tracing can reconstruct the path of stolen funds from the moment of theft to their current location. Where funds reach a centralized exchange, the exchange can be identified and — through lawful channels — compelled to disclose account holder information. Where funds remain in self-custody wallets, on-chain analysis can still map the cluster and behavioral patterns, but linking to a real identity requires HUMINT. Tracing cannot recover funds that have already been cashed out to fiat through unregulated channels, but it can establish where and when that occurred, which supports legal action.
Evidence required
The stronger the evidence package, the more precise the investigation. Gather what you can before contacting us.
- 01The originating wallet address and private key custody details (we never need the key itself)
- 02Transaction hashes for the theft event
- 03Timestamp and blockchain of the initial unauthorized transfer
- 04Any subsequent wallet addresses you have identified
- 05Exchange or platform involved, if known
- 06Correspondence with any platform regarding the theft
Typical obstacles
Every case faces friction. Understanding the obstacles upfront sets realistic expectations for what recovery can achieve.
- —Mixers and tumblers that fragment and commingle funds
- —Cross-chain bridges that break single-ledger tracing
- —Privacy coins (Monero, Zcash with shielded transactions)
- —Funds split across hundreds of micro-wallets
- —Time delay between theft and reporting, allowing cash-out
- —Exchanges in non-cooperative jurisdictions
Relevant jurisdictions
Tracing is blockchain-based and not jurisdiction-bound, but the recovery phase depends on where funds cash out. Exchanges in the US, UK, EU, South Korea, Japan, Singapore, and Australia maintain robust KYC and respond to lawful requests. We coordinate tracing-to-recovery handoffs with local counsel in 75+ jurisdictions.
HUMINT
Human intelligence operations to obtain evidence that paper trails and on-chain data alone cannot reveal.
OSINT & Forensics
Open-source intelligence and blockchain forensics to trace funds and map infrastructure.
Lawful Operations
All operations conducted within applicable local laws, coordinated with top-tier law firms in each jurisdiction.

Encrypted Intake
Contact us via Telegram or Signal. No case details over email. We assess the basic facts of your situation.
- 02
Case Assessment
We evaluate feasibility — tracing potential, jurisdictions involved, and likelihood of identifying beneficiaries. No charge for this assessment.
- 03
Written Engagement
If we proceed, a written agreement outlines scope, jurisdiction, applicable law, and the success-based fee structure.
- 04
Intelligence Operations
We conduct tracing and HUMINT operations within applicable local laws, coordinated with local counsel where required.
- 05
Reporting & Recovery
Findings delivered with verifiable evidence. Fee is due only on actual recovery — 30% of funds recovered.
Frequently asked questions
Can you trace crypto that has been through a mixer?
Mixers obfuscate but do not always erase the trail. Depending on the mixer, volume, and timing, partial or full tracing may be possible. We assess feasibility during the case assessment.
What information do you need to trace stolen crypto?
The originating wallet address, transaction IDs, approximate date of theft, and any communications related to the incident. The more detail available, the more precise the trace.
Do you work with law enforcement?
We coordinate with law firms and, where appropriate, law enforcement. Our intelligence findings are produced for lawful use and verified for compliance in each jurisdiction.
We offer a confidential case assessment — not a guaranteed recovery promise. Regulators including the FCA and FTC warn consumers about services that guarantee recovery, demand unexplained upfront fees, or impersonate authorities. We charge only on actual recovery.
