Wallet Transaction Tracing
Wallet transaction tracing reconstructs the full movement of funds in and out of a cryptocurrency wallet — identifying connected addresses, cash-out points, and the real-world individual who controls the wallet.
What is wallet transaction tracing?
Wallet transaction tracing maps every transaction associated with a wallet address: incoming sources, outgoing destinations, connected clusters, and behavioral patterns. The objective is to trace where funds came from, where they went, and who ultimately controls them.
How we help
- 01Full transaction history reconstruction
- 02Connected wallet cluster identification
- 03Exchange deposit and withdrawal tracing
- 04Cash-out point and off-ramp identification
- 05Controller identification via HUMINT
What can realistically be done
Wallet tracing can reconstruct the complete transaction history of an address, identify all wallets that interacted with it, flag connections to known services (exchanges, mixers, payment processors), and pinpoint where funds were cashed out. Where funds reached a regulated exchange, the exchange can be identified and — through lawful channels — compelled to disclose the account holder. For self-custody wallets, on-chain analysis maps the cluster and behavior, but identifying the human controller requires HUMINT. Tracing establishes the full picture of fund movement, which supports both recovery strategy and evidentiary use.
Evidence required
The stronger the evidence package, the more precise the investigation. Gather what you can before contacting us.
- 01The wallet address to be traced
- 02The blockchain it operates on
- 03The context: why tracing is needed (theft, fraud, dispute, due diligence)
- 04Approximate time frame of relevant activity
- 05Any known connected addresses or services
- 06The objective: identification, evidence, or recovery
Typical obstacles
Every case faces friction. Understanding the obstacles upfront sets realistic expectations for what recovery can achieve.
- —Wallets that interacted only with mixers before cash-out
- —Funds moved through cross-chain bridges to other blockchains
- —Wallets controlled by multiple parties (multi-sig)
- —Use of decentralized exchanges with no KYC
- —High transaction volume making manual review impractical
- —Funds converted to privacy coins
Relevant jurisdictions
Wallet tracing is blockchain-based and global, but the identification and recovery phases depend on where funds cashed out. Exchanges in the US, UK, EU, South Korea, Japan, Singapore, and Australia maintain KYC records responsive to lawful requests. We coordinate tracing-to-identification handoffs with local counsel in 75+ jurisdictions.
HUMINT
Human intelligence operations to obtain evidence that paper trails and on-chain data alone cannot reveal.
OSINT & Forensics
Open-source intelligence and blockchain forensics to trace funds and map infrastructure.
Lawful Operations
All operations conducted within applicable local laws, coordinated with top-tier law firms in each jurisdiction.
How the engagement works
- 01
Encrypted Intake
Contact us via Telegram or Signal. No case details over email. We assess the basic facts of your situation.
- 02
Case Assessment
We evaluate feasibility — tracing potential, jurisdictions involved, and likelihood of identifying beneficiaries. No charge for this assessment.
- 03
Written Engagement
If we proceed, a written agreement outlines scope, jurisdiction, applicable law, and the success-based fee structure.
- 04
Intelligence Operations
We conduct tracing and HUMINT operations within applicable local laws, coordinated with local counsel where required.
- 05
Reporting & Recovery
Findings delivered with verifiable evidence. Fee is due only on actual recovery — 30% of funds recovered.
Frequently asked questions
Can you trace any crypto wallet?
Most public-blockchain wallets can be traced. The depth of tracing depends on the blockchain, transaction volume, and whether funds were routed through mixers or privacy tools.
Do you need the private key to trace a wallet?
No. Tracing uses public on-chain data. We never request private keys. Anyone asking for your private key is attempting theft.
Can you identify who controls a wallet?
On-chain analysis reveals patterns and links. Identifying the real-world controller typically requires combining forensics with human intelligence — our core methodology.
We offer a confidential case assessment — not a guaranteed recovery promise. Regulators including the FCA and FTC warn consumers about services that guarantee recovery, demand unexplained upfront fees, or impersonate authorities. We charge only on actual recovery.
